Andrews Knud son was born near Christiana, Norway, Jan. 5, 1824, and died at his home in Westgate on March 22, 1905, aged at the time of his death, 81 years, I months and 17 days. He was married in 1845 to Bertha Larson. To this union were born one son and four daughters. Mrs. Jvnudsou died in 1858. In 1859 he married Guuda Gunderson and to this union were born four daughters Two daughters preceded him to the other shore. Mr, Knudsou moved with his family to the United States, settling in Wisconsin in 1-81)2. The fall of the same year the}* moved to Iowa sett’ing near Wilson’s Grove. Five years later they moved to his farm two miles west of West-gate. In 1899 they moved to theirhome in Westgate. lie was confirmed a Lutheran and we believe he was a consistant Christian, lie was honest in his business dealings, a good neighbor. a kind husband and father and a loyal citizen.The funeral services were held Friday morning at Murphy chapel west of Westgate and interment made in the cemetery adjoining. The services were conducted by the Kev. W. A. Pinkerton of the Presbyterian church of Sumner.
