Almond Tibbitts Dies.Sunday afternoon Almond Tibbitts was missing from the Central house where he has been boarding, in fact he had not beeii^to baeakfast or dinner,made and he was found :H. At an eariy age hiaplirV.ents moved to Towerville, Vernon county, Wisconsin, where he resided until the age of 10. During this period his father conducted a carpenter and blacksmith shop and Almond attended the small school in the (village. At the age of 16 he left his home in Vernon connty, Wisconsin and came to Iowa and took up his residence with, his uncle, S. F. Cass at the old town of Sumner. During this time and until he was 20 years old he attended school, assisted round the store after this until he reached the age of 28 he worked In different capacities jn the near neighborhood.. At the age of 28 he was mar ried to Miss Alice Cai*penter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Chancy Carpenter of Sumner. From this union two children have been born, Hattie, 19 years old and Glen 17 years old. In the year 1897 the grim Reaper took from Al-mond’s home his beloved wife. Since that time up to his death ho has resided in Sumner. 'His death occurred on March 26, 1905 in his room and was caused by apoplexy. He leaves besides his two children,two brothers, Willard and Orlando, two half brothers and three half sisters, the sole survivors of their family, the father and mother four brothers and three sisters having preceded him across the silent river.
