SHINDELA (nee Borys): It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Helen Shindela on Jan. 11, 2024, at the age of 96. Helen passed away peacefully at Sandy Lake Personal Care Home, Sandy Lake, MB. Helen was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Cedoux, SK. Helen married Steve Shindela Oct. 26, 1949. Helen was predeceased by her parents Michael and Anna Borys, her brothers Tony (Mary), Luke (Rose), Henry (Fio), Joe, (Pearl, Tina), Dorland (Norma) and sister Elizabeth Fedorkie (John). Left to cherish her memory are her husband Steve, daughters Geraldine Ferguson (Garry), Louise Follows (George) and son Leslie (Sheri), grandchildren Cody and Paige, sister Margaret Sulymka, brother Alien (Frederica) and numerous nieces and nephews.
