Mrs Fred Handorfservices heldFuneral services were held on Friday, March 24 for Mrs Fred (Nellie) Handorf at Walker Funeral Home in Clarinda.Mrs Handorf, 93, is a longtime area resident, born August 18, 1883 near Clarinda. She is the daughter of Charles E and Mary Jane Miller Ellison.In 1904 she was married to Frederick E Handorf who preceded her in death March 13, 1969.She had lived southeast of Clarinda for 60 years until she was hospitalized last December. She was a resident of the Good Samaritan Rest Home in Villiscaat the time of her death,Wednesday, March 23.Mrs Handorf is survived by five children, Mrs Orville (Erma) Wood of New Market, Frederick Handorf of rural Bedford, Floyd Handorf of rural Clarinda, Mrs Audrey Johnson of Denver, Colorado and Mrs Carl (Valera) Drinkhouse of Littleton, Colorado. There are two grandchildren and one great grandchild.Wayne Ellison of New Market is a brother and Mrs Amy Stoner of Chula Vista, California and Mrs Nina Kelley of Ottomwa, Iowa are sisters.
