Coopers are married in a candlelight ceremonyTINLEY PARK — The new Mr. and Mrs Peter Scott Cooper will make their home in Athens, Greece, where Cooper is serving with the U.S. Air Force.Dawn Baumgartner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Baumgartner, 6744 W. 183rd St., Tinley Park, was married to Peter Scott Cooper, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Cooper, 18716 S. Baker Ave., Country Club Hills, Oct. 17, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.The candlelight service was performed by the Rev. Richard Scheknar. Sarah Zell, Cindy Wynkoop and Beth Radtke sang “The Lord Is My Shepherd” and “The Lord’s Prayer,” and organist was Jean Rauch.The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore an empire waisted gown made by her grandmother, Mrs. Herbert Albers. It was designed with long sleeves, scoop necjc and chapel train. The gown was accented with flower appliques on the skirt, and had ruffled bottom, and rows of lace adorned the neckline. She wore a cathedral veil and carried a bouquet of yellow roses.Myra Ketterman served as the bride's maid of honor and bridesmaids were Joyce Rossow, Eileen Johnson. They wore baby blue and gold print gowns with chiffon Overlay and carried yellow and blue mums in baskets. Flower girls were Sandi Walgren and Bonnie Rauch who wore gowns the same as the bridesmaids.The groom’s attendants were Tom Kenney, Rich Sabey and Terry Palumbo. Mark Baumgartner and Mike Palumbo were ushers. The candlelighters were John Cooper and Paul Baumgartner.The bride’s mother wore a silver sleeveless dress with a matching jacket and accessories. The groom's mother chose a deep purple long sleeved dress with complimenting accessories.Honored guests at the wedding were grandparents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Albers and Arthur Baumgartner.A reception for 100 guests was held at the American Legion Hall.Mrs. Cooper was formerly employed at Grant's Department Store, Homewood.
