MUSIC HOUSE HAS LARGER QUARTERSR. J. Barber Finds Business Expanding: Rapidly and Remodels Place.Finding business bis crown beyond his expectations R J. Barber, proprietor of the Barber Music house, 514 Central avenue, has enlarged bis quarters, practically doubling the ground floor space and udding a new balcony. The entire arrangement gives the Jtore almost three times the floor area if had but a few weeka ago.Painters have been busy during the past week - redecorating the music house and it now presents a spick and span appearance, the color scheme being white. New chandeliers and other fixtures add to the attractiveness.Mr. Barber came to Great Falls six years ago from Spokane and accepted a position with the Western Music house, which was formerly located in the same building as the Standard Furniture company now occupies. The Western house is no longer in business. Upon severing his connections here, after three years of service, Mr. Barber went into business for himself, opening n very small shop at 11 Sixth stre t north. It will be a year in June that he moved into his present place of business on Central avenue. However, until improvements were commenced s few weeks ago he utilised only the fore part of this floor space, there having been a partition dividing the place.This hns now been torn away and the rear part of the space merged with the | fore and fine new display rooms and a grafonola room constructed at the rear.!Mr. Barber baa just returned from the east where he purchased personally, two carloads of brand new musical merchandise which has now been received in time for the re-opening of the remodelled and enlarged store.The Barber Music house baa the exclusive Great Falls agency for the Baldwin and liaddorff pianos, two well known makes; and also carries the Columbia grafonoln as well as a complete 1 stock of small musical instruments, such as violins, mnndolin*. guitars, etc.Mr. Barber has already made pinna to increase his force to keep pace with the enlargement and the expansion of the business. Herbert J. Nelson, just returned from army service, and Alex Campbell will become members of the sales force. Mr. Nelson is a thoro musician and has toured the 1'nited States in concert work, while Mr. Campbell is a well known vocalist. Another addition to the force will be H. W. llare, director of the smelter hand and also an excellent musician. Then there will be a young lady in charge of the grafonola record departmentMr. Barber is enthusiastic over the prospects for 11*19 and has unbounded faith in the future of Great Falls.
