Death of H. F. Woodson.H. F Wood sod commit ted suicide at his rooms in Paris, presumably on Tuesday evening, March 12th by hanging. Mr Woodson had spent the greater port of the winter with his nephew, W, S Woodson in this city. On March 12th he packed his grip and went to Paris where he maintained a suit ol rooms. He wa* seen to get off the train and start toward his room but this was the last seen of him until March 28 n W S Woodson went to Paris and while there made enquiries about his uncle and on learning the above facjs sent ponies to the rooms to investigate Securing a key from the landlord tney discovered the body hanging to the bed by a piece ol heavy cordDeath was evidently caused by strangulation os it seemed he had t led the cord jto the bed while standing and then sat down which tightened the cord about his neck. The deed was probably committed until ediately upon bis arrival on Tuesday as the appearance of the room indicated that upon entering he had sal his grip down and pieced his glasses and teeth on a table, but nothing else in the room seemed to have been disturbed recently. The Masons look charge of the body and the funeral took place at Stoutsville Thursday, 28, conducted by the Knight Templers-Henry Franklin Woodson was bom near where Stoutsville is locat ed, 65 years ago and hod spent most of his life in Monroe County. Arriving at manhoods estate he engaged in business and for a time was rated one ol the progressive busi ness men of that part of the county He poseesed a liberal and generous disposition and was unoiveraly popular. Later business reserves overtook him and for the past sev eral years his friends have considered that at times his mind was not just as it should be and a return of one of those periods probably caused him to commit the rash act.
