di* 1-* ADDITIONAL HUXLEY ** *r- 1 MRS. O. S. HEGGENieWAS BURIED SUNDAYt' Mrs. O. S. Heggen passed away on s Thursday morning. March 22, after a ' ‘ j lingering illness of several months being confined to her bed for the last 11 nine weeks ol' her life. Mrs. Heggen 17 I was a woman of peaceful and loving disposition and will be greatly missed st by her many friends. During her long el illness she was always a quiet and :h patient sufferer always seeming satis-l fled when she had her family around 38 i her. Her daughers Sarah, Rose and i Ella were constantly with her while n- she was on her death bed and did v. all in their power to make her last n- days as pleasant as possible. Mrs. e. Anna Fatland also assisted in caring v for her during the last weeks being a comfort to both Mrs. Heggen and . the bereaved family. The following poem was written by her daughter, Rose Heggen, while she was on her v* death bed:OUR MOTHER’S DEPARTUREThe meloneboly days are these And saddest of my hearl,As through my tears 1 see.My mother now depart.What is greater here on earthThan Mother's love to you and me? Her thoughts for us were always first. And she was last, we all could see.rnselfishness, kindness, patience all J composeA few characteristics of Mother’sLove;And now that calm and sweet repose., Shall soon be hers forevermoreWhat do I owe those toil worn hands?What can I give to pay the debt? Oh, so helpless here I standThrough her sickness, agony and death.Now her day shall soon have plt;*«aed A long and weary day indeed.My duty lies before me castTo mould my character in her creed.
