Gutteboe, Lars Fatfrand, Oliver Alsager; Mrs. Grimsley and Lizzie and Mrs. Anna Hoolland from Story City; Mr. and Mrs.. P. J. Severeid from Boone, Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Klos* ter from Nevada ; Mrs. Chas. Fat land W. C. Fread and Ed Fatland from Des Moines; Ole Heggen from Anita and Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Kirby from Chicago, 111.i Thursday morning. March 22, after a | lingering illness of several months being confined to her bed for the last nine weeks of her life. Mrs. Heggen ! was a woman of peaceful and loving j disposition and will be greatly missed by her many friends. During her long illness she was always a quiet and patient sufferer always seeming satisfied when she had her family around i her. Her daughers Sarah, Hose and Ella were constantly with her while she was on her death bed and did all in their power to make her last ■ days as pleasant as possible. Mrs. Anna Fatland also assisted in caring for her during the last weeks being a comfort to both Mrs. Heggen and the bereaved family. S. Heggen whose maiden name was lngeborg Fatland was born Oct. 18511 at S Koonevtg. Norwa to the parents. Haldor and Mangila Fatland and the following year she came with them to America, making their home in Illinois for a few years Later they moved to Polk county. la She w'as united In marriage to O S Heggen Feb. 19, 1885 and to this union six children were born, three bovs and three girls. They are Milter, Hen ry, Sanford, Sarah, Hose and Lila. Besides her husband ami children she leaves to mourn her death one brother. Lewis and one sister Sarah, (Mrs Seward Nelson) and seven grandchildren. Several other relatives and a host of friends remain. Mrs Heggen died Thursday, March 22 at the age of 57 years, 4 mos. and 24 days Funeral services took place I Sunday, March 25 from the Ficldherg church, Rev. Birkelo assisted by the Rev. Guttebo from Story City had charge of the services Mush furnished by Mr. and Mrs. L. S. ter and the choir. Interment place In the Held berg cemetery of town.
