A. Parker of Monti-cello, Ind., differed in many reepects from the ordinary revival, in that the element of excitement did not enter. The Rev. Parker.is a minister with but few equals, and depended on no other aid than the direct message of the Gospel delivered in a clear, concise manner. ':His sermons were all brief and to the point. His logic was sc simple and plain that a child could understand. Without a needless expense of flowery rhetoric and anecdotes, his sermons were interesting in a superlative degree.After the first week the building was filled to overflowing at nearly every service and when it was announced that the Sunday evenings sermon would be the last of the series, standing room was at a premium and many went away disappointed.
