TRILBY ISLAND BELOWDAVENPORT IS SOLDAlex Anderson Disposes of It and Will Give Proceeds to Public Charity.Alex Anderson of the New Harper, sold to Henry Jager, liveryman of Davenport, what is iknown as, “Trilby” Island, containing some ten or a doxen acres for the sum of $1,300 The proceeds of the sale are J to be divided between Ned Jbee and ; St. Vincent s orphanage.The island is located just off Andalusia, on the Illinois side of the | j river, and between that place and i Buffalo. It was purchased by the Trilby Fishing club a number of years ago and was used by the club 1 as an anchorage on Its expeditions. The club went out of business a few years ago and sold Its barge,1 “The Trilby,M but up to the present time had not disposed of the Island.Mr Anderson has a warm snot in bis heart for those who are unfor-i tunate, and others, who were mem*| bers of that club, have a like reputation That's the reason the proceeds of the sale go to charity.i _____
