K. have been Afteiuing ^circulars announcing the candidacy of Comrade Eliot Callender, a past commander of Brynor Post No. 67 of* Peoria, tor department commander. The election fs to take place at the doparu ment encampment to be held In Galesburg In May. The circulars thor-cugTfiy explain the eligibility of Mr. Callender for tMb position he seeks, together with the detailed announcements of the Galesburg meeting which is to be the fortieth annual encampment of the Department of Illinois Grand Array of the* Republic. Tlfe dates are May 22, 23, and 24. Captain Brown’s monument of Mother JVfary Bickerdyke will be unveil-cd May 22 at 4 p. m., and Corporal Tanner will take part in the program. The entire three days of the encampment are to be filled with entertainment and amusement for the veterans aa well os business se-sions of the encampment.
