This forms a pamphlet of 75 pages, and gives the results of a very thorough inspection of all the charitable institutions in the district From this it appears^-and no doubt many people will be surprised at the information—that there are no iess—than twenty-three incorporated charities in inis! dry alone, all of which have been investigated- These, with the bockport Home for the Friendless, the Thomas Asyl- j tin* for orphan and destitute Indian« children at Versailles, the orphan asylum at Dunkirk, the Batavia Blind Asylum, the , State‘I^g^/Ux^um (that Is to be) in thm,city. ari^Weeight aounty poor-houses, make up the list of charities as to which the report |gives information.
