Death of Thomas J. Strait, Esq.A few days wince we announced the oerfoiis illness of this gentleman; to-day we are called upon to perform the sad duty of announcing his death, which occurred at the residence of his sons, near Canton, Miss., on the 28th inst.,to which place he journeyed a short time since, in the hope of recovering his shattered health. »Mr. Strait was one ©f the oldetk members of the Hamilton county bar. having been in active practice most of the time, covering a period of over forty-five years. He w as well in years, being aged seventy-two, We are not advised as to what djs-Kosition will be made of his remains, nt presume that they will be brought to this city for interment.
