Child Labor Law Must Be Cena Court v. WASHINGTON, March 28.—The judiciary committee of the house of representatives, after hearing four weeks testimony, has recom mended the passage of the child labor constitutional amendment in troduced by Congressman Foster, of Ohio. Twenty-three similar resolutions were considered by the committee. Such an amendment is made necessary by the decision of the supreme court declaring unconsti tutional the former federal child labor law. Twenty national or ganizations endorsed the amend ment. Both party platforms de clared in favor of it.. The judiciary committee placed Congressman Foster in charge of the bill on the floor of the house.
