Mrs. Moses L. Rau, of 4711 Michigan ave nue, entertained at bridge Tuesday afternoon. Among the guests were: Mesdames Morti mer Singer, Leon Becker, Jacob L. Grossman, Joseph Moses, Ruth N. Muir, Emanuel Bux baum and Clarence Hirschhorn. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fish, of 1811 Prairie avenue, will leave Tuesday, April 1, for a short stay at French Lick, Ind. Mrs. Eli Guggenheim, of Cincinnati, accom panied by her infant son, is visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Stransky. Mr. A. Frohman entertained Saturday after noon, March 22, in honor of little Miss Julia Rothschild, of 5303 Calumet avenue. Ten of her little friends were his guests at a theater party. Mrs. Joseph L. Schlesinger, of 1858 Hum boldt boulevard, entertained the Fortuna Sew ing Club, on Monday last. Mrs. Samuel Rus nak, of 1719 Humboldt boulevard, will be the next hostess, Miss Ruth Lewin, of 1432 East Sixty-sixth street, entertained Saturday, March 22, at luncheon, followed by a theater party. Mr. P. E. Marcus, of Rib Lake, Wis., was in Chicago to attend the Gittler-Miller wedding. Miss Nina Meserow, of 1441 Park street, was hostess at a musicale Friday evening, March 21. The following artists rendered a splendid program: Abe Shuman, pianist; Alfred Gold man, violinist; Miss Florence Harris, reader; Miss Leontine Myers and Dr. Sonnenshein, vocalists. Among the guests of honor were Mr. and Mrs. Heniot Levy, Miss Della Thal, and Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Zukovsky. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Strauss, of 2544 South Lawndale avenue, returned after a month’s visit to Panama and the south. Mrs. S. K. Loder, of 4307 Grand boulevard, is visiting in Detroit, the guest of Dr. and Mrs. H. Iler, of that city. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Kline of 4941 Grand boulevard are at the Alcazer Hotel, St. Augus tine, Fla. Mrs. E. Bauman and Miss Mina Dienstag of 3558 Grand boulevard, returned Wednesday, March 26, after an extended trip through Flor ida and Cuba. In honor of their third wedding anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Moses Van Buren, of 346 East Forty-sixth street, will have as their guests Sunday afternoon, March 30, the children of the Marks Nathan Orphan Home. A musical program will be rendered and refreshments served. Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Weiler (nee Sabrina Lehrberg) are at the Hotel Vendome. Mr. and Mrs. David Alexander (nee Theresa Kohn) have rented a pretty apartment at 6202 Vernon avenue, where they will be glad to see their friends after April 15. Mr. and Mrs. A. Lorenzo of 5521 Cornell avenue entertained at a family dinner at the Windermere Hotel Sunday evening, March 23, in honor of their twenty-fifth wedding anni versary. During the afternoon their pretty home was crowded with numerous friends who called to offer their congratulations. A fashionable audience of prominent music lovers will fill the Fine Arts Theater Sunday afternoon, March 30, when Glen Dillard Gunn will present the talented young pianist, Miss Belle Tannenbaum. ‘Those who have heard this young woman are eagerly looking forward to the coming recital. Mrs. Morris S. Rosen wald, soprano, will also be heard in several selections. Miss Helen Newmark, who is visiting here from New York, was the guest of honor at a buffet luncheon, given Monday, March 24, by Mrs. J. Taylor Newmark of 5131 Greenwood avenue. Mrs. Ira Nelson Morris was among the patronesses at the private reception held by the Musical Art League at the Art Institute Monday evening, March 24. Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Wedeles, 5032 South Michigan avenue, are at Hot Springs, Ark. In honor of little Miss Jewel’s birthday, Mrs. Schlesinger, of 1943 Humboldt boulevard, en tertained Wednesday, March 26. The little guests were attired in pretty Japanese cos tumes. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel May (Minnie Jelonak), of 5127 Prairie avenue, will be at home Sunday, March 30, in honor of their fifteenth wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. John C. Levinson of 5714 South Park avenue entertained at dinner Sun day, March 23, in honor of Mrs. M. Rosenstein of Philadelphia, Pa., who is the guest of Mrs. William Kamin of 1224 Albany avenue. Mrs. J. B. Malkes of 3653 Douglas boulevard entertained Wednesday afternoon at a box party in honor of Mrs. M. M. Gordon. The guests were the Mesdames M. L. Aren, L. C. Barnett, J. J. Brin, Sig Heim and Sam Fried stein. Miss Sadie Tupler of 2845 Burling street returned Friday after an extensive visit at San Antonio, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Kaatz of 4843 Michi gan avenue, have returned from a trip through the south. Mr. and Mrs. J. Taylor Newmark of 5131 Greenwood avenue entertained at dinner Wednesday, March 27. Covers were laid for twelve. Mesdames Sigmund Zeisler and Ira Nelson Morris are on the reception committee of the Three Art Club, which is to hold a reception Monday, March 31, at 1614 La Salle avenue. Among the recent arrivals at St. Augustine, Fla., are Mrs. H. Mayer and Mrs. L. Lowen stein, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hasterlick of 4800 Grand boulevard are at the Eastman Hotel, Hot Springs, Ark. Mrs. Moses Goldsmith, of 4517 Forrestville avenue, entertained twelve ladies at luncheon and whist, Wednesday, March 26.
