White gathered at the residence of her parents, number 608 Nicholson street, Saturday, to pay their last respects to an unhappy Jife. As near as possible the “DEAR OXM AT HOME’’lived up to the request written by deceased before her death which you all read in Thursday’s Rep-Sch. Shortly after 1 o’clock the house was filled with people from all parts of the city eager to see the remains of the y» uug lady who was at one time highly respected as she possessed health beauty and ail that goes to make one happy. But now clad in a white cashmere shroud and laid in a white cut caste; decorated with Tarious kinds of bunches of beautiful flowers.■The funeral services were read by Rev. C. C. Camp, pastor of the Episcopal church, using as his text the 14th chapter of St. JohnLet not your mind be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.In my Father’s house are many mansioos if it were not so, I would have told you. Woods, James Calais.The funeral procession of the hacks and buggies, was a large one, notwithstanding there was a large number of people on the sidewalks making their way to the cemetery ou footat the cemetert.Owing to the large number that arrived at the house too late to 9ee the remains the casket was opened at the cemetery, where hundreds of people, not tnly from this city but from the surrounding towns were anxiously waiting to view the remains of the [unfortunate Jessie Z. White.
