THE ELTHAM MURDER.The case against the soldier, George Ridout Theodore Bingham, a private of the 62nd Regiment of Foot, charged on his own confession with the murder of Maria Jane Clousen, at Kidbrooke-lane, Eltham, in 1871, was dismissed in the Aldershot Petty Sessions yesterday. Bingham subsequently confessed to his uncle and Mr. (leach, solicitor who watched the case on behalf of Bingham’s family, that the story of the Eltham murder was fictitious from beginnihg to end, and that he concocted the tdory for the purpose of getting out of the army.
