Mad Do£ Scare in Shady Grove Section MondayResidents of the Shady Grove community had a mad dog scare yesterday, starting before dawn and continuing several hours, until the rabid animal, a big German police dog had been cornered and killed. Several pet dogs were bitun and many owners are bringing them in for vaccination or have conflncd them pending the outcome. No per* son is known to have been bitten.The mad dog was first noted at the B. Giles home, where it pulled a pet dog out of its box and bit it. The mad dog visited the home of Ollie Giles and bit two dogs there. A chase was started, with the pos.se in cars, and the dog dodged them by crossing a field.A little later the rabid animal appeared again at a tenant housr. on the A. J. Hosey place, where it waa finally cornered and shot.
