London :—Misses Ada Mallalieu, Marion White and Vera Thompson. The examination was held in Geelong in December last.The death occurred in Queens-eliff on Monday last of Mr John Langlands, of Horsham. Mr Langlands was a worthy resident of Horsham during a lengthy lifetime, his parents having been pioneers of the extensive Wiramera district. Deceased had occupied many posts of honor as a townsman. having been a councillor of the shire, honorary magistrate, and was interested in most organisations having as their aim the welfare of the town, which he deeply regarded. He was in business as a storekeeper for a very lengthy time. By his death one of the landmarks of the erstwrhile prosperous Wimmera has been removed. Mr and Mrs Langlands were frequent visitors to Queenscliff.Included among visitors at the Grand hotel are Mr and Mrs Charsley. Mrs Charslev has a warm iecollection of Queenscliff in its early days, having resided here many years ago with her brother, Mr G. W. G. Butler, of ‘ Warrain,’ Springs, since which she has widely travelled.iMr and Mrs Gower Williams
