Mr. McDaniel Lost Home and Nearly all Effects: Wareaboro, «March 26, — Laat night about 7350 the residence of Mr. J. A. McDaniel caught on fire burning his house to the ground. The origin of the fire is unknown though it was supposed to be set afire by fate. Mr. McDaniel was sleeping when he was awakened by the fire rustling through the walk into his room. He jumped out of bed and grabbed his three small children whom he carried outside to safety. He then fired a gun, which wisda his room. The re sult was thateveral people were soon on the spot and succeeded bn having a few beds and tracks. The incurance policy was burned up with the rest of the property; the insurance was about $600 on his house and $600 on his furniture ranking a total of 61200 in all. He lost several land deeds in the fire, also about $00 in currency. Mr. McDaniel’s family are staying for friends houses until he can get straight again. We all extend to him our utmost sympathy, an d hope he will be able to go on again. Mr. F. 0. Wilson accompanied by Mr. H.D.
