Plainfield Lodge, No. 855, B.. P. O. Ellis, will hold its annual meet ing tomorrow night. Officers are to be elected and reports presented. The Grand Lodge of Masons of North Carolina is to have a temple to cost $129,000. It is to be in Raleigh and is to be fireproof. One of the oldest Masons in the world is James Douglas, of Chester, In. He has been a master Mason six ty-four years,a Royal Arch Mason sixty-three years and a Knight Tem plar sixty-two years. Reports presented at the recent an nual convocation of the Grand Chap ter of Royal Arch Masons of New York showed a membership of 29, 383, a net again of 1,424 for the year. With a total membership of 10, 075, the Grand Chapter of Canada made a net increase of 1,084 last It is the duty of every Freemason to make the institution strictly a benefit association, a benefit to oth ers as well as to himself.—Texas Freemason. .
