Alex. McLeod bad quite a distinguished passenger out from The Dalles last week in the person of Mr, “Punch” McKenzie. Alex, says he had more fan than a box of monkeys.Mr. J. C. Thrall will open his new general merchandise etore on or about the IOth of April. “Jim” is an enterprising young man, and we wish him success in his near venture.E. L. Boynton and family have returned from the Willamette valley, and will be found at his old stand in. Kingsley on and after July 1st.Mr. Daris tiii, who has been under the doctor's care for the past month with what was feared to be white swelling, is slowly improving.Last Friday Mr. Alex. McLeod wascalled to Grass Valley to the bedside of his son, William, who is dangerously ill. We did not learn the particulars.Mb.
