I under- v stand they get good prices for them. £Major A. C. Huiaekoper is in New £ York. He will probably visit Boston be* * fore he returns. *There will not be an ice famine here 8 as was expected. Our hotel keepers, and s butchers and others have secured chough for their own consumption.We have had some bad cases of pneumonia and diphtheria in this vicinity. 'Mrs, Martha Dennis has been very sick 5 with pneumonia. At present she is bet* 1 ter. The Drs. Snodgrass had charge of the case.Our doctors have been very success- \ ful in treating this dreaded disease.Mr, Thomas McQueen, of Plumer, was ytsiiiug his sister. Mrs, Wm. Dennis.Mrs, David McLenihan and Mrs. John Blair, of Atlantic, sisters of Mrs. Dennis, have been with her during her sickness.Mr. Hugh McQueen was here to see his sister. Mr. McQueen is in very poor health. He is very much debiliated with some disease of the stomach. *
