Madison Post No. 105 received many honors at the Sixth District American Legion Conference Sun day. They were cited for having the best public relations program in the district. They also received an award for Americanism, an Honor Ribbon to be attached to the Post Colors, a certificate of Most Out standing Achievement for having surpassed the previous years total membership. Dr. M. J. Chakeres, Commander of Madison Post No. 105 also received a pin for having secured the most members for 1957. Commander and Mrs. Chakeres and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ballen ger attended the meeting held at Hebron.
