From Maine to California In 502 DaysMrs. Annie Wilkins, 64, who calls herself “The last of the saddle tramps,” holds her two horses in Hollywood, Calif., after completing 5,900-mile trip which took 502 days from West Minot, Me. Her dog, De-peche Toi, accompanied her. The packhorse Tarzan left, made entire trip, but King, right, was acquired only 180 miles from her destination when original riding horse, Rex, died of tetanus.
