AVGUST SCHBOEDER,1833-U1COne of the Dysart pioneers died Dec. 30, 1916, August Sekroeder, after a short illness caused by a falL Schroeder was born Jan- 3, 1833, in Koider-Ditmarschen, Germany and was 83 year* old when he away. He left nativeland in 1854 and caaae to America, settling in Canada. In the fail jof the same jear, he located at Moline, I1L, where he resided tin-itll the war broke out, at which j | time he enlisted and served until its dose.j In September, 1SSS, he was ; united In marriage to Margaretha jSohn at Davenport where they I resided for a number of years. In i July, 1891, they moved to a farm [in Geneseo township where they remained until the spring of 1894, when they took up their residence in Dysart. Mr. Schroeder was a member of the Lutheran Churcn. i At the time of Ms death, he was survived by a daughter, Mrs. H. H. Kinnt»r of Elberoru Rev. H» Christiansen had charge of the funeral services.
