Local Committee Makes Big Shipment of Surgical and Hospital Supplies. The local Relief Committee has just shipped to the Chicago branch of the American Red Cross two box es containing the following: 7 doz. gauze bandages. 20 doz. gauze compresses. 3 doz. gauze rolls. 16 doz. gauze wipes. 3 doz. gauze drains. 2 doz. gauze laperotomy pads. 2 rolls absorbent cotton. Knitted sponges. 64 doz. muslin bandages. 5 doz. crinoline bandages. 5 doz. flannel bandages. 5 doz. head bandages. 3 doz. bandages. 5 doz. slings. 3 doz. abdominal bandages. 14 doz. napkins. 17 doz. wash cloths. 10 doz. tray covers. They wish to thank all those who have given their time, money or ma terial to this cause also those who sold materials at reduced price, and the Emma Scott Circle of King’s Daugh ters, the St. Margaret’s Guild, the children of the grammar school, the Eagle cotton mill, the patients at Cragmont, the Elks, the Express Co., W. H. Miller and the children of the public schools, who have hemmed napkins. An earnest request is given to ev ery woman in Madison to join the workers any Tuesday or Friday af ternoon, 1:30 to 5 p. m. There is work for all who come and in this way they may show their patriotism and loyalty to their country.
