Mrs. Rosa link Gexkvirrr Von Phul, who recently died in St. Louis, was horn in Lexington, Ky., June 22, 1797, and “enjoyed tho distinction,” says the New Orleans Times-Democrat, “of having lived under the Spanish, French and American governments, and during the administration of avery president of the United States. She had fifteen children, eight of whom survive, the eldest, Mrs. Thomas N. Taylor, of St. Louis, being sixty-five years of age. Her descendants ate about one hundred in number.’'
