SOME TIME AGO, a faithful Messenger reader, Mrs Frank Lacy (Myra Crawford), sent in the following humorous article. She did not give the name of the author but related that the poem was written by an 80 year-oid lady in the year 1900.' Old Age is golden, V ve heard it said,But I sometimes wonder whenI go to bed -My ears in the drawer, my teeth in a cup -My eyes on the table until I wake up.‘Ere sleep dims my eyes I say to myself -Is there anything else I should lay on the shelf?But T m happy as I close my door, my friends are the same as days of yore.'
