Three central office switch men employed by General Tele phone Company in South Haven, Clyde Dopp, Larry French and John Righter, recently com pleted courses at the Plant Training School in Owosso. Dopp completed an advanced three-week course on the install ation and maintenance of PABX equipment used in providing tel ephone service to large indus trie and businesses. Depp joined General Tele phone in May 1966 as a com bination man. Then on Jan. 14, 1968 he transferred to the South Haven central office as a switch man. He lives with his wife, Su san and two sons on Rt. 5. French, a recent transfer to South Haven’s switchroom staff, completed a two week course on basic AC-DC Theory as it re lates to telephone operations. He joined General Telephone as a combination man in our Hartford exchange. On Nov. 30, 1969 he transferred as a switch man in South Haven. He resides on Rt. 1, Hartford with his wife, Kathy, and two children. Another recent transfer to South Haven, Righter completed a course on basic electronics. This course is designed to pro vide information concerning the operation of central office equip ment. He began his career with Gen eral Telephone as a combina tion man in our Hartford ex change. He transferred to South Haven as a switchman on Sept. 28, 1969. He lives at 21 Church St., Hartford, with his wife, An gie and one son.
