Illinois Pioneer State For Sale Of Eisenhower Commemorative MedallionIllinois has been selected the first to receive the Dwight 1), Eisenhower solid silver medal.Available through The State Bank of Havana, it was struck by Medallie Art Company, New York, one of the highest quality producers of fine art medals for over seventy years. The medal, the size of a silver dollar, bears two exquisite and realistic portraits of the former statesman, one as presidentand one as general.Each medal is serially numbered and the issue limited to 29,000 in Illinois. Illinois collectors will benefit from this first issue as lower serially numbered medals are considered a premium. The medal was sculptured by Karen Worth of Orangeburg, New York.Mrs. Worth, an accomplished medallist, last year produced such famed medals as the American Chemical Society Medal.
