Barry Sullivan, star of Television’s “The Road West’* is no different He recently spent seven Saturdays in a row on the high desert in California’s Antelope Valley with a wrangler, a stunt man, a team of horses and a covered wagon.“I spend a lot of time behind the reins of a covered wagon on my series,” says Sullivan, “so I decided to become proficient at it. Getting through chase scenes, over rocky terrain and around unexpected chuck holes is no easy task with one of these old wagons. I was too used to power steering.
