Allan Korver and John Van zanten, Jr. ,suffered severe in juries Friday in an auto accident near Sterling, IA. The young men were returning here from Grand Rapids, Mich. where they had been working for the American Seed Co. As they rode along, their car suddenly dropped into 4 heavy fos, and blinded, they crashed into a bridge. Young Korver was hurt seriously. He received a broken leg near the hip and a broken arm. Van Zanten, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Van Zanten, moved at Treton several years ago, received a broken nose and facial curls. Word came to the parents here Saturday, and Mr. and Mrs. William M. Korver and Mrs. Van Zanten left at once for Sterling where the boys are in a hospital Tuesday. Word from Mr. Korver at Sterling states that Arian’s arm and leg were set and that the leg was put in traction. John’s face was so badly swollen, how ever, that his nose could not yet be set. At the time of the acci dent, Arian was driving the Van Zanten car. Mr. Korver said that both boys were badly hurt. He was expected to return home on Tuesday, but Mrs. Korver will remain with her, son.
