IT WAS A PRETTY WEDDINGDouble Wedding at Jack Odem Home Yesterday Was Pretty Affair—All Of Contracting Parties W'ell Known People.From Friday’s Daily.At high noon yesterday at the beautiful farm home of Mr. and Mrs, A. J. Odem four and one-half miles southwest of Atlantic, in the presence of the relatives and friends and a few of the neighbors, Claude Odem and Miss Opal Byers and Roy B. Bailey and Miss Gladys Odem were united ia marriage, the Rev. A. E. Griffith of the M. E. church in this city performing the ceremony. The rooms were beautifully decorated in pink and white for the occasion and the double ceremony was performed in the parlor under an arch of pink and white ribbon and pick and white bells. Pink and white hearts formed the decorations in the other rooms- The wedding mareh was played by Mrs. Ernest Odem. The brides were bewitchlngly gowned in white and net silk anfd carried wreathes of white roses. • After the ceremony the guests were served a sumptuous five course dinner, prepared as only the good wives of the country know how to prepare them. ;The young people were the recip- , ients of many beautiful and valuablt : presents, attesting the esteem in which they are all held by hosts of friendi. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Odem will taki a western trip, including points l» Idaho in their itinerary, after which they expect to live on a farm. Roy Bailey and wife will reside on a farm three miles south of Lewis.Following the ceremony yesterday a photographer from this city too* views of the home and the bridal parties.To all these estimable young people the News extends its best wishes and the hope that their journey through life may be one of pleasure and that their pathway may be strewn with roses, minus all the thorns.
