Busby iyNellie Cor.hpll Busbyf daugh-ter of Islah and Elizabeth Rogers Cochell, was born September 17, 1888, in Mercer ■ County, Missouri, east of-Ravanna. She spent her entire life in the vicinity of Ravanna and Lucerne, especially the latter hvrecent years. She was united in marriage on September 19, 1906, to Claude Busby, at Princeton. They had the privilege of celebrating their 59th anniversary in 1965.Claude and Nellie were the parents' oT seven children, all* of whom survive: Mrs. Wilma'' Kayser, Princeton, Mo^ Har--nld, Miami, Florida; Gerald, Roger, and Grant (Jack), Lucerne, Mo.. Mrs. Mary Menor, Kansas City, Mo., and Keith, Wichita, Kansas. Other survive-ors include eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.Nellie was preceded in death by her husband on October 11, 1965, and by her parents and brother and sisters. She was a member of the Lucerne United Methodist Church and the Meth-cfciist Women’s Society.She passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 1971, at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital, where she had -been a patient for two weeks. Nellie was a good neighbor, a loving wife and mother, and took an interest in people and life about her She will be greatly missed by her family and many friendsServices were held Saturday. March 20, 1971 at 1.30 p.m. from the Lucerne United Methodist Church at Lucerne, Mo Burial in the Lucerne Cemetery. The officiating minister was Rev* Glen Lochhead of theLucerne United Methodist Church.
