Miller had j relieved starter Ronnie Hall in ■ the 6th inning with the Farmers. :A leading 2-1 and did a good job' ' for two innings, but bases on balls and some costly fielding t errors were his undoing.Junction City scored in the se- f cond when Rodney Barnett sin- c gled, stole second and was dri- 5 ven in on a single by Donny s Lowery. Farmerville went ahead t 3-2 in the third after scoring one f run in each of the second and third innings. This held until the s fifth as the Dragons scored twice lt;to take a 3-2 lead. Stringer stole third and was j brought home on a squeeze bunt by Roger Morris. Farmerville regained the lead 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, scoring twice on a single, three walks and an error.The Dragons rallied to lead 6-4 in the top of the seventh. Stringer led off with a single. Roger Morris reached base on an error and with two out, Mike Thurkill walked to load the bases. Donny Lowery followed with a live single, driving in Stringer and Morris. Bruce Hightower followed by reaching first on an error which allowed the final Dragon tally.Farmerville came back to score one run in the bottom of the seventh and had the tieing run thrown out at the plate to end the game.Leading hitters for Junction City were Bruce Stringer and Donnie Lowery 2-3, Rodney Bra-nett 2-4, John Christian and Jack Wilbanks 1*3. Lowery and Barnett also turned in several outstanding field plays for the winners.Junction City will be host to Lisbon, La., March 31, for its next game.
