Pooch Had Paps In France, Italy; Now Awaits ReichWITH THE 3D INF. DIV.-~ After the 3d Div, gets into the Reich, the event probably will be heralded by another litter of pups from ’’Beachhead.”’’Beachhead is a brownish pooch picked up on Anzio only a week after her master, Pfc, Otto F. Manthie, of Oshkosh, Wis., landed there. When the division was pulled back for its first break, the 1st Bn. motor pool’s mascot presented Manthie with a litter of pups. The pups went to GIs of the 15th Regiment.Upon, arriving in France. Beachhead” came up with another litter of pups. Manthie says she had her first batch in Italy, her second in France, and is holding out for No. 3 until we get to Germany.”
