Funeral services for James R. Hayden, 57, of Wethersfield, a former resident of Cobalt, were held Wednesday afternoon at a Hartford funeral home. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery, Middle Haddam. Mr. Hayden, a native of Sterling, Mass., came to Cobalt when he was six years old, and lived there for 12 years. He was employed for about 29 years at the Austin Organ Com pany, and later was an elevator operator at the Palace Theatre Building, Hartford. He died sudden ly Monday in a Hartford res taurant. For many years Mr. Hayden re sided with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Alvord of Wethersfield. He leaves one brother, Frank P. Hayden of Ogunquit, Maine; and two nieces, Mrs. Robert Schlag of Middle Had dam, and Mrs. William Townsend of Wethersfield.
