Wide Variety of Crimes Are Listed in Indictments- Large Proportion of Indicted Ones Are Already in Custody—Names Are Given, Below OLD ELECTION FRAUD CASE UP FOR TRIAL Prosecuting Attorney Will Ask Jury to Give Death Penalty to Sam Johnson, Alleged Negro Dynamite Slayer, and to Two Kincaid Brothers Thirty seven indictements were pe uirned by the Raleigh county grand ivy, which finished its work yes terady morning. Most of those in dicted have either given bond or are in jail, but 2 few are still at large. ‘The Post-Herald, at the request of authorities, is withholding the names of thosea who are not yet in custody. Several trials will be held at this ferm, for which new indictments are not needed. Among these will be the trials given Sam Johnson and Wattey ‘Tinsley, charged with dynamiting a Winding Gulf home, and thus kill ing 4 woman there. Johnson, if will be recalled, was sentenced to life imprisonment, a the last term of court, but walked out of the room for a minute while the trial was underway, and this technicality was enough to insure him a new hearing. C questioned yesterday, Fr. Clyde Scott, prosecuting attorney, declared that he would ask the jury to hang Johnson. Tie will also ask the death penalty for Wallace and Herbert Kincaid, charged with the murder of George Spangler, special agent of the Kanawha, Glen Jean and East ern railroad, several weeks ago. Most of the trials are scheduled for early in April, and may then be set for another, and later date, W. F.
