——■ ■47 YEARS KEEPER OF LIGHTiISLE LA MOTTE, March 24— \ Wilbur S. Hill, one of the oldest and best known citizens of Isle La Motte, died March 3D at the ape of 16 years. For more than 47 years he had been United States light housekeeper at the oiie station on Isle La -Motte. The United States government awarded him medals of approval for his long and efficient sendee and on Jan. 31 he was placed on the federal retirement | list. He was a farmer and owned one of the best farms in Isle La Motte. He was respected by all who knew him.His brothers are Julian P. Hill of Hamburgh, N. Y., and Henry \Y. Hill of Buffalo. N. Y.He is survived by his wife, and the following children: Frank \V. Hill of Springfield, Mass., Mrs. Maud L. Doolin of Isle La Motte, Edward VV. Kill, lighthousekeeper of Windmill Point, Yt., Clyde E. Hill and Miss Gladys M. Hill of Isle La Motte.The funeral was held at his late residence on Friday morning at eleven o'clock.
