firs. C. E. Bennett.st Mrs. Clara E. Bennett aged CG r years, relict of the late Dr. M. B.Bennett, died at the residence of v her daughter, Mrs. B. S. Clements,* j(1 in Yoakum last Thursday and was iv buried iu the Ilalletsvilie cemetery the following day. Deceased was ,f the mother of Messrs. Steve andjn Win. Bennett of this city and was », | well known to most of our citizens.! She was a noble Christian woman r who was justly beloved by all who , knew her. She had been an inva-. lid for several years and her de-;t mise was not unexpected.She had lived in Lavaca county since early girl hood and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Isaac West, are well remembered bv our older cit-mfizen. Her late husband was a popular and successful physician who • * •n | was noted for his generosity and .amiability. The remains were f brought to this city on the 1:27 ' p. m. train and the funeral was con-: ducted from the residence of Mr.S. L. Bennett at 4 p. m. Services , at the grave were conducted by b Key. Lee Green, an old friend of 1 the family who spoke feelingly of | the departed, assisted by ltev. W.- ! L\ Garrett.The. entire community sympathizes with the bereaved daughter and sons in their sad loss; a hiss that is irreparable and beside which all other possible missfortunes seem small and insignificant.—Herald.
