Death of Hon. Albert Osborn.Hon. Albert Osborn, one of the most highly respected citizens of Elkhart county, died at the home of his son near Wakarusa, on Monday night, March 20th, at 10 o’clock.The deceased had suffered from diabetes for eighteen years. About three weeks ago he visited his friends in this city and seemed to be in better health than usual. He took alarmingly ill on Sunday morning and became unconscious on Monday, never regainingcon-sciousness.j Mr. Osborn was born in Otsego county, N. Y , April 2, 1824. When eleven years of age his parents moved to St. Josheph county, Mich. Feb. 2, 1845, he married Miss Katherine Kirkwood. In the spring of 1863 Mr. and Mrs. Osborn came to Elkhart county and settled in Jackson township, and two years later in Jefferson township. Mr. Osborn was twice elected to the legislature—in 1872 and in 18907Mr. Osborn leaves an only chilfl, Ira A. Osborn, his wife having died Jan. 8, 1891. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. R. I). Irwin, of this city, and Mrs. Julia Walter, of Sturgis.The funeral of Albert Osborn will be held Thursday morning at 10 o’clock from the house near Wakarusa, Rev. Bemenderfer will officiate.
