The Venerable Father of Alfred and Hiram Herron Passes Away. A telegram received yesterday by Hiram Herron informed him of the death of his father, one of the oldest residents of Schoharie county, New York. Deceased had reached the age of 83 years and re tained his mental faculties unimpaired until his death. The dissolution occurred Wednesday, due mainly to a failure of physical forces. This venerable gentle man was the father of Alfred Herron, traveling agent of the Hersid, and Hiram Herron, the grocer on West Locust street. The distance prevents either son from at tending the funeral.
