Obituary.James Scott was born in Uoxburyshire, Scotland in fSto, and died at his home at Tnylurvitle Iowa, March I9, 189a. When a hoy about twelve he came with his parents to Camilla,' In 1833, Jan. 22. he was married to A?ay Me E wen; and they raised a family of nine children, seven of whom still live. About 40 years ago they moved Irom Canada to Whitewater, Wis, where they lived until they came to Vutinau, south of brush Creek about 26 years ago. His wife and companion died Jan. 13, 18S6, Sixty years ago while in Canada, Wither Scott embraced religion and became a member of the Presbyterian church, he remained a member of that church the most of his life. Uut a few years ago the society having been scattered and discontinued he fult his want of a church home and so he became a member of the M. E, church at Jinish (-reek He was a man of deep piety, and a true christtnn character. Ills sixty years work in covenant with his God, was a Work which each year brought him nearer to his heavenly bather. . He was a great lover ol the bihle- So many of its most precious promises sound ever foith to his memory.
