President Wicker said in bit interview that the managers of tbe Milwaukee road had “never for a moment serious If thought 'ofgoing to Yankton.” We cannot help 'It— we must ask, what, never!” And if President Wicker was at our elbow he wonld probably answer, “well, hardly ever.” The word never” has been robbed of half its terrors since the Pinafore business properly modified Its significance, and President Wicker doubtless uses it with the popular qualification understood. We are sure he must, because he would’nt fib about a little matter like that No one can blame him for wishing that it might be so, because the construction of that road to Yankton would Injure the business of his road.
