Time is running out for Carl Robey whose life may depend on reporting to a physician for immediate medication. Robey, 44, indicted by the grand jury for escape from the Monongalia County Jail in 1955, walked away from University Hospital where he was under going treatment for injuries re ceived in an automobile accident this past Saturday morning. While at the hospital medical officials learned that Robey had a critical lung disease which re quires constant medical atten tion. Sheriff Charles J. Whiston said this morning without the proper medication Robey will live only one week. Eugene L. Staples, adminis trator of University Hospital, said Robey just got up, put his clothes on and left yesterday afternoon. Sheriff Whiston noted that his force is not large enough to put a man on guard duty with the multitude of police duties his officers are called upon to per form.
