come off I hare not yet learned.Mr. J. G. I^aird closed his second term of the Weatville High School yesterday. It has bean a very successful term—the roll number* ins 214 students, and everybody, teachers, pupils and patrons, taking a great deal of interest in it. The examinations of all the departments were completely successful. Miss N. J. Bolster, who teaches the Primary Department, had her school examined on Wednesday. The tinging of the little ones was excellent, as was also the tinging of the entire school. They presented Miss Bolster with s Photographic Album, as a token of their affection and esteem for her. Thursday, Mist M. R. Laird's school—the Intermediate Department—was examined, with much satisfaction to all the parents present. Mias Laird is a worthy lady and an energetic teacher. Her students also presented her with a fine album. Yesterday Mr. Laird’s department passed an equally successful examination. The essays and declamations interspersed with the class.es, were ell interesting, end of a high tone,._Miss Emma Osborn, Miss Annie Rood, Miss Homans, McCord, Inman, Clough, ^4 others, si) read interesting performs^ca, Mr. Laird was presented, by his eca00it with s fine gold pen and an album, wb\ch were given and reoeired with tearful ey*,.
