There was a fine sprit of. harmony and a strong desire on the. part of the institutions to place athlet ics on an educational basis. It was the final verdict of the members that on! through such an organization as the U.I. A. A. can athletics b* conduced and •controlled so that they will be an educational, moral and tocial asset to th** thousands of young men and women now participating in the various forms of athletic activity.
