HCclI Ulfc .State vs. Merrifield and Campbell, April.2.Three days were set aside for hearing this case. Thomas Merrifield who is a well known rancher living near Maiden, and John Campbell are under arrest on a grand larceny charge, it being alleged by the state that they were associated with Barney Hedigan in his horse stealing operations. The friends of Mr. Mcr-ri field say that he can easily establish his innocence.
